Cairns Base Hospital, currently under redevelopment and including the construction of a
new Multi-storey Car Park, will be equipped with a PM ABACUS Car
Park Management and Control System later this year.
Through a competitive Tender process, SABAR has been successful with this
2 IN, 2 OUT, 2 PAY STATION System for the main Car Park and an internally
nested Car Parks comprising 1 IN and 1 OUT.
The addition of Cairns Base Hospital strengthens our position in Cairns
adding to our existing Systems at Cairns Airport and Cairns Central
Shopping Centre.
The functionality of the PM ABACUS System, particularly for Hospital
environments, and the proven reliability as demonstrated in the harsh Cairns
environment at Cairns Central Shopping Centre, were primary decision factors
for the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation, the Operator of the Car Park.
Hilton Hotel, Gold Coast, Queensland
Our Gold Coast portfolio continues to expand with the addition of the Hilton Hotel.
This 2 IN, 2 OUT, 2 PAY STATION System for the main Car Park and an internally
nested Car Park comprising 1 IN and 1 OUT will also feature the functionality
of the PM ABACUS TCU120 off-line Discount Units.
Gold Coast Airport, Queensland
Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta continues to grow in parking demand,
requiring the construction of a new at-grade Car Park. The Airport has chosen
to remain a SABAR Customer and will equip the Car Park with a PM ABACUS central
magnetic stripe System, including the installation of cashless, credit card
only Pay Stations.
With this purchase the Airport will install the base for the future
upgrading of the existing DESIGNA Parkmaster 100 System which, through
DESIGNA’s commitment to compatibility across equipment generations,
can be upgraded and connected to the new PM ABACUS System.
More Projects in the pipeline
2010 continues to see new Projects for Tender including 102 Wakefield

Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful with our Tender for Rockhampton Airport.
Previously reported Projects, including the prestigious Soul Development

yet to be awarded.
